Ms. Mihiri Jansz

Mihiri is a Senior Lecturer at the Postgraduate Institute of English (PGIE), The Open University of Sri Lanka and she has been a member of the academic staff for more than a decade. During this time, she has been involved in teaching and curriculum development of a range of programs including the MA in TESL, the PGDip PPE programme and the short course on qualitative data analysis, to name a few. Mihiri has developed courses for undergraduates at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the University of Peradeniya. She is also one of the writers of the General English GCE A/Level textbook that is currently in use. Internationally, Mihiri is an advisory board member for the TESOL Journal and completed a term (2021-2024) on the “Conference Connections Committee” of the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL).
