I completed my Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (Honors) degree at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) in 2019 and obtained an M.Phil in Microbiology from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ) in 2022. My academic career commenced as a Demonstrator at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL), where I was later promoted to Lecturer on Contract and subsequently to Lecturer (Unconfirmed) in 2023. My research interests include Medical Microbiology, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Human Microbiome in Health and Diseases.
