I’m Mr. K. Ketheeswaran, for my primary education I attended T/Paddithidal Maha Viddiyalayam, Muthur Trincomalee, and for secondary education I attended T/St. Francis Xavier Maha Viddiyalayam, Trincomalee. After the completion of the G.C.E O/L examination, I continued my GCE Advanced Level Examination at K/AK/Sri Ramakrishna National College.

I was fortunate to enter the Eastern University of Sri Lanka in the year 2004 and I graduated with a first-class in Bachelor of Education Honours Degree. I was given an opportunity to serve my native university as a Temporary Lecturer from 2011 to 2013. I started work as a permanent academic at the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) in 2013. Since then I have been working as a senior Lecturer at the Department of Special Needs Education, Faculty of Education, OUSL, Nawala, Nugegoda. I completed my Master of Education Degree at the OUSL as well as a master of philosophy in education at the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

My teaching philosophy is “don’t teach the content to the students, teach to learn themself”

My life philosophy  is “Play each role of your life span well’ “don’t waste your time for worship GOD than your JOB’

Ongoing Research:  Role of parents in the school’s special education activities of special needs children-a study based on Muthur education zone.

Edited the Department journal ‘KALVI’ in 2010 at EUSL. Wrote the following articles for AHAVILI, a Sri Lankan Tamil journal for Education & Teaching… 1. Piaget’s theory of cognitive development’ March and April, 2013. 2. Reinforcement Theory in Class Room’ March, 2012. 3. Maslow’s Needs Theory in Class Room’ April, 2012. 4. McDougal’s Motivation Theory and Teachers’ May, 2012. 5. History of Educational Psychology and Reach Methods – June, 2012. Wrote an article for ‘SVALKALUM SATHANAIKALUM” Journal. Wrote an article ‘Pragmatism and Existentialism in Curriculum Development’ for KIZHAKKOLI, Publication of Eastern University Employees – Union, 2013.
