Short Course in Laws Governing Employment

Human Resource Management has become one of the most important functions in any organization. The objective of the Human Resource Management function is the effective and efficient utilization of the human resource of the Organization to achieve Organizational objectives. It is a mandatory requirement for any organization to comply to laws governing employment when it applies the Human Resource Management Function. Therefore, Laws Governing employment has emerged as one of the most demanding fields in the present organizational context in the business world.

This short course is designed upon a needs survey conducted recently by the Department of Human Resource Management. The above course is designed to provide basic knowledge and core competencies in the laws governing employment in Sri Lanka.

• Shop and office employees Act No.19 of 1954
• National minimum wages Act No. 3 of 2016
• Maternity benefits ordinance No. 32 of 1939
• Employment of women, young persons, and children act
• Factories ordinance
• Workmen compensation
• EPF act No. 15 of 1958
• ETF act No. 46 Of 1980
• Payment of gratuity act No.12 of 1983

 

 

Payment at Bank:
1. Download the attached payment voucher.
2. Fill out the payment voucher correctly (no need to fill the registration number).
3. Take the completed payment voucher to your bank and make the payment.
4. After payment, scan the payment receipt clearly.
5. Upload the scanned copy of the payment receipt to the Google Form provided.

Online Transfer:
1. Refer to the payment voucher attached for the required information.
2. Use the provided details to initiate an online transfer from your bank.
3. Once the transaction is completed, generate a receipt from the online banking system.
4. Upload the receipt generated from the transaction to the Google Form.
