As a Senior Lecturer in Sociology, Dr. Welikala has been involved in teaching in the BA in Social Sciences as well as the MA in Development Studies and Public Policy offered by the Department of Social Studies. At the undergraduate level she is currently involved in teaching and evaluation of coures offered by Society and Cultur Studies stream and also involved in postgraduate teaching in the subject of Development Sociology in addition to supervising MA dissertations. Dr. Welikala’s primary research interests are in the area of legal anthropology, particularly in the way law and law-like processes intersect with society.
